A word about
me
It's been two years now as I graduated from Trinity International University (Deerfield, Illinois, USA) having earned the MDiv (Master of Divinity). Now, I have officially become a part-time PhD student at London School of Theology, where I am writing a thesis Twentieth-Century Trends in Pastoral Theology and How They Relate to Pastoral Experience in Post-Soviet Countries. Thus, my focus is in pastoral theology. Besides, I have joined the faculty at EBI (Evangelical Bible Institute) where I teah "Christianity and Culture" as well as "Prolegomenon to Pastoral Theology". I am both excited and stressed, because my academic strivings are just one portion of my busy life. I am a happily married husband and a father of three sons, Noah (17), Mykolas (14) and Martynas (13). And yes, I've almost forgotten the main thing - I have been a pastor of The Word of Faith Church in Vilnius, Lithuania for almost eighteen years. And I also serve as a senior pastor of The Word of Faith Christian Fellowship. Do I need to confess that the church is my greatest passion? Yes, Jesus Christ is my life, and His church is my raison d'etre. You can learn more about me from My Testimony and Leadership Life Story. A word about my church Now, just a few words about The Word of Faith Church in Vilnius, Lithuania. It is an independent evangelical-charismatic church that was planted, when a handful of believers from three different church backgrounds, namely Baptists, Pentecostals and Catholic charismatics, came together with the vision of a new living Lithuanian church. In my opinion, it is very significant that our church was born out of revival, which took place on the verge of communism's collapse and Lithuania's independence at the end of eighties, and not from an agenda of a missionary organization somewhere in the West. One of the outstanding features of our church is that, as believers, we are pioneers in our post-soviet country. Having come to Christ mostly from atheistic and non-religious backgrounds, we have not ceased to look for our identity as Christians. We are still on the move - seeking to know the Lord Jesus Christ better and make Him known wider. This authentic search has birthed many strands of our ministry, such as Publishing, Christian School, TV program and has united as many as 33 congregations in Lithuania.
